Why use this tool
A scan is only a picture of a page: you cannot search it, copy from it, or convert it properly. OCR recognises the characters and writes an invisible text layer underneath the image, leaving the original look untouched while making the content searchable.

Which languages are supported?
English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish. Combine them with a plus sign, for example eng+deu.
Does the page look different afterwards?
